About Me

Keen trail runner / adventure seeker and firm believer life is better outside, with a spaniel and snacks.

My Journey through Fitness

I studied Sports Therapy at university and fell in love with the movement side of fitness—helping people move better and feel stronger. After that, I got into gyms, but I quickly noticed a lot of people were only there for weight loss, focused on the scales rather than enjoying the process - often resulting in rebounded, low self-esteem and binge/restrict patterns . I realised gyms were never really my thing.

I wanted to help people find a way to enjoy fitness without feeling restricted or judged. I’ve always loved being outdoors, playing team sports, and staying active in ways that feel fun, freeing, and natural. Along the way, I dreamed of creating a fitness community—an outdoor space with no mirrors, no egos, and no judgement—where people could train, improve, belong and actually want to be.

In May 2024, living on the farm surrounded by open fields and stunning views, that dream became a reality, with the green light from my very supportive boyfriend and family - CountryFit was born.

CountryFit is about more than just the workouts. It’s a place to belong, be yourself, and improve both mentally and physically. Fitness doesn’t have to be intimidating, one-size-fits-all, or complicated—it should make your life better, helping you move easier, feel stronger, and enjoy every step of the journey.

Building a community was just as important to me. The self-employed fitness world can be lonely, guarded and I missed the energy and camaraderie of group training. Together with amazing coaches who share my vision, we’ve created a space that’s supportive, fun, and inspiring.

For me, fitness is about more freedom —to ski, hike, run, move furniture myself (and enjoy an almond magnum—or a margarita (or five). I train now because I want to be able to keep doing the things I love well into old age and to be able to say YES to every/any challenge !

Meet Robbie

Coach & Strength Specialist

My background in training was very much started at 14 years old, through playing rugby and looking for ways to get better on the field. I think many would have considered me a gym 'meathead' during this time, and I even competed in some strongman events to push the strength side of my training further. As my interest grew I decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer in 2013 and have been lucky to work in great variety of different roles since then.

Getting involved with CountryFit was purely by chance as Sinead had reached out locally to find people to cover classes, but what a fantastic bit of chance that was. Have throughly enjoyed getting involved with this great community and am yet to come away from taking a class that I haven't enjoyed immensely. Like many I hold a particular soft spot for Lord Crumble.
